| Thread: Line extends too far down when published |
| Safari. It only happens about 20% of the time-I've done a bunch of these red vertical lines. But haven't been able to track down what the incorrect extensions have in common. Still, I've noticed that when I click on the text boxes, sometimes I'm able to bring the selection handles up high close to the bottom line of the text (thinking maybe that's the issue), sometimes I cannot. (To do that, I copy the text, create a new text box, paste the text into that and that often lets me bring the selection handles up high-but not always.) |

Here are the EasyWeb and Safari screenshots-hope they're full enough to display the issue. On the first, you see the Safari page (with the more intense, sharp colors) where on the right the vertical red line extends too far down. On the left, the red vertical line is too close to the text blocks. On the second page, you see the original created in Easy Web. |

| Thread: Saving, etc.; Basic questions |
|
1.) When you save one page, are you saving only that page or for the entire web site? (I assume when I Quit and am asked to save, I'm saving for the whole shebang.) 2. I'm only working on one website, yet under Projects when I open up EasyWeb I see three projects listed. I always open up the top one, assuming that's the "real" one. Not sure what the others are doing... Thanks jb |

Since it's another basic question, I'll piggyback on this thread... I have no "Save As" option to rename my saved work anything other than "New Website". I'm sure the option exists somewhere, as I see the ability to do this was added in a Beta, but I am overlooking it somehow. Where can I find this? |

[quote="Roddy":2dnafjjs]Change the site name at the top of the left column in EasyWeb and then save - command s.[/quote:2dnafjjs] Thanks...I have no idea why that didn't occur to me. Too long staring at the same screen, I think <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? --> |

| Thread: Consistent design and navigation names (Beta 19) |
|
I am building a website with my own design, and is getting very frustrated with the fact that I can't set ONE set of page settings that all pages will obey. Here I am talking about Page width, background image that general stuff. Layout is easy enough, but if I change one of the pages settings I have to change the rest. Like the Browser background, or page width. They should be the same for all pages. Also items in the header and footer should automatically be the same for all pages in a website. So they contain the same items on all pages. It's fine that it is possible to set different menu name and file names for navigation, but I would like it to be the same as defualt, and if needed check a checkbox and you can make different names for files and navigation. |

Quote: In general, the page file name should be different from the name in the navigation menu. Page file names should be lower case, have no special characters and have hyphens between the words rather than spaces in just the same way as image and other file names. Bad file names are a common cause of sites not working properly in the browser. Fully aware of the problem, but it would be nice if the app could handle filenames automatically based on the name you specify for navigation, sorting out bad items for names, and with a checkbox give me the option to change the filename for whatever reason people could think of. Personally I don't really need it ;) |

Quote: Also items in the header and footer should automatically be the same for all pages in a website. So they contain the same items on all pages. Asked this a little while ago, and still feel it is unanswered. My request is that content in the Header and Footer automaticlly gets copied to the rest of the pages on my site. Also it would be great if specific settings (like page width and Header and Footer size) would also be the same for all pages (except mobile pages). I know how to create a "template" page, however I often need to change a few things as i build my website due to changes i might make, because it wasn't what I was looking for or whatever, and needing to change several pages settings seriously increase the chance of unwanted designs across my website. |

That would be great, i gotta say the photo album is the only thing that i don't like about easyweb.. I would like either something like what you say or something like iweb.. where you can take the mouse over the album and see all the photos and ten click it to open a full album with photos.. And a way to give some text to each image.. |

| Thread: CSS editor integration |
|
Programs like iWeb or EasyWeb allow easy way to manage a site, make changes, add new pages or content elements. But do not give the full flexibility to manage design and templates like can make a professional CSS coder. So you get one or the other. I want to be able to receive one and the other and in one location. So that I can hire a professional to make a template, and then create my own pages and my content are created in the program. So really want to integrate the function of EasyWeb with any editor CSS markup. To manually correct the code could be created EasyWeb, and more importantly - to load the changes back to the program as a template. |

| Thread: Keyboard unable to enter text on EasyWeb page |
|
After selecting a half dozen or so different text blocks/sentences and applying different colors to them on some EasyWeb pages, I just discovered that I'm no longer able to enter text with the keyboard or use the return function. I type in letters and nothing happens. This is also true on other EasyWeb pages. I am, however able to select text, expand images, and change text color as my mouse seems to function fine. I then closed out of EasyWeb and started up again but that didn't fix the problem. Then I opened up a new website in EasyWeb using a template and the same issue came up. Next, I tried other applications including Pages, iWeb, and iData3 and there was no problem entering text in them. Not sure what to do next. Will probably try shutting down for a bit. Thanks. |

| Thread: Keyboard unable to enter text on EasyWeb page |
| 3 p.m. update: Fixed it!! Keyboard's fine now. Just shut down my Mac, then booted up and zapped the pram. What a relief! Hope it doesn't happen again... Still, I'd like to know what may have caused it. Maybe too many quick keyboard strokes (COM/SHIFT/C) in succession...? |

Using the mobile friendly feature is very easy to do. The video tutorial for it has been posted and can be accessed via the Learn How To Use EasyWeb button on the Projects Window. Here is a direct link for quick access. http://ragesoftware.net/creating-a-mobile-website.html |
