A website for tutoring, coaching or classes should tell people what you teach, who it's for and what it costs, then let them book. EverWeb gives you the pages, and in EverWeb 4.6 and later its forms can take lesson bookings with payment, placement tests and homework uploads. Membership Sites can hold course materials for paying students.
Who uses this
- A maths tutor takes requests for weekly lessons and payment for a block of five.
- A piano teacher puts practice recordings on a private page for her students.
- A language school asks new students to do a short placement test before it places them in a class.
- A fitness coach sells places on a six-week course and keeps workout videos in a members' area.
Features marked (add-on) need the Contact Forms Enhanced add-on. Payments and signatures also need EverWeb 4.6 or later. See What is the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-on?

EverWeb features that help
Lesson bookings with payment (add-on)
Use Card Select for the type of lesson, Calendar and Select Time for a preferred day and time, and a Stepper with a Unit Price for the number of lessons, so five lessons at 30 makes 150. Visitors pay on Stripe's or PayPal's own checkout page. The form doesn't check your diary, so confirm each time by email. See Take bookings and deposits with your contact form.
Courses and group classes
For a course with a start date, sell places with Card Select for the course, a Stepper for the number of places, and a confirmation email to each person. See Event registration and ticket sales with your contact form.
Placement tests and applications
Step Break turns a long form into pages with a progress bar, so a test can have one section per page, with Radio Button questions and a Text Area for written answers. EverWeb doesn't mark answers or give a score, and there's no timer: you read the answers and reply. See Run an online quiz, test or application form with a multi-step form.
Homework and portfolios (add-on)
A File Upload field lets students send their work. Each field takes one file, so add more than one for several files, and set Accept to the type you expect, such as PDF, Audio or Video. You download them from your Client Area. See Build a custom form: quote requests, registrations and file uploads.
Parents' consent (add-on for signatures)
For students under 18, a Consent tick box linked to your terms, the parent's typed name and a Signature can record permission, for example for photos or trips. Check that a signature on a web form is enough for your use, collect only what you need about children, and check the rules that apply to you. See Get agreements, contracts and consent forms signed online.
Course materials and paid memberships
Form payments are one-off. For a monthly subscription to lessons or materials, use Membership Sites: students sign up with their own login, and you can charge by card. Put videos on YouTube or Vimeo and show them in a shape with its Fill set to Video, and check that service's privacy settings, because a video on a members-only page can still be watched by anyone who has its link. The Audio widget plays MP3s, such as pronunciation practice or backing tracks. See Members-only pages, logins and paid subscriptions: EverWeb Membership Sites and Add music or a podcast to your website (the Audio widget).
Feedback at the end of a course
A Star Rating or a 0 to 10 Rating Scale tells you how students found it. See Collect feedback, reviews and survey answers with ratings.
Tips and news
Post study tips, results and class news on EverWeb's blog. See How do I add a blog to my EverWeb website?.
Two languages and accessibility
Language teachers often show key pages in both languages. Alt text, headings and good contrast help every student read your pages. See Build a website in two languages and Make your website accessible: alt text, headings, link text and contrast.
The padlock
Forms and payments should go over HTTPS. See My site says 'Not Secure': how to get HTTPS (SSL) on your website.
