The Contact Forms Enhanced add-on is a paid extra for EverWeb's Contact Form Advanced widget. It keeps every form your visitors send in your EverWeb account page (the Client Area), lets visitors upload files and sign, adds date and time pickers, sends visitors a confirmation email, and, in EverWeb 4.6 and later, lets a form take payments by card or PayPal. Your forms work without it: they send each answer to you by email.
What it adds
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Submissions stored online | Every form sent is kept in your Client Area, where you can search, sort, export to CSV (for Numbers or Excel) and delete them |
| File Upload field | Visitors attach a file, such as a photo, PDF or document. You download it from the Client Area |
| Calendar and Select Time fields | A pop-up calendar and a time picker for dates and appointment times |
| Signature field (EverWeb 4.6 and later) | Visitors sign with a finger, stylus or mouse. With Mail Sending set to SMTP Details, you receive the signature as a picture (PNG) attached to the email |
| Payments (EverWeb 4.6 and later) | The form charges for priced options and visitors pay on Stripe's or PayPal's secure checkout page |
| Send Confirmation Email | Sends the visitor a copy or a thank-you message, which can include their answers. It also needs spam protection turned on |
| Mail Sending: EverWeb | Sends your form emails through EverWeb, so you don't need to enter SMTP (outgoing mail) details |
| Remove Account Login Links | Removes the links asking you to log in or upgrade from the emails you receive |
| Personalised emails | Send a personalised email to people who have sent you a form (10GB and 50GB packages) |
You can use it on as many forms as you like.
What works without it
Without the add-on, Contact Form Advanced still has every text, choice and date field, required fields, spam protection, your own thank-you page and its styles. In EverWeb 4.6 and later that includes the new field types (such as ratings, sliders, Address and Consent), multi-step forms and the new form designs. Answers arrive by email only, sent with your own SMTP details or PHP Mail, and that email is your only copy. See Build a custom form: quote requests, registrations and file uploads.

Buy it from our secure online store. It's set up as soon as you buy, and you can move to a bigger or smaller package at any time. More detail is on the Contact Forms Enhanced product page. To see what happens when you reach your package's limit, see What happens once I reach my submission limit for Contact Forms Enhanced Add-on.
Turn it on for a form
- Buy the add-on. You'll get an email called Contact Forms Enhanced Setup Instructions.
- In EverWeb, sign in to your account: EverWeb > Settings on a Mac, Edit > Options on Windows.
- Select your form and open Inspector > Widget Settings (the cog, the last icon).
- At the top, choose your add-on in Contact Form Enhanced Add-on.
- Type a clear Contact Form Name, such as Smith Photography Booking Deposit. It names the form in your Client Area and, if the form takes payments, it's the product name buyers see on Stripe or PayPal. If you have more than one website, include the website's name. Use letters, numbers and spaces, and avoid quote marks and symbols such as $.
- You can set Mail Sending to EverWeb, on any web host. You then don't need the SMTP settings. For a form with a Signature field, use SMTP Details instead (see below).
- Publish with File > Publish Entire Site, then send a test from the published website in a private browser window. Forms don't send from Preview.
If your add-on isn't listed, select another object and then the form again. If it's still missing, quit and reopen EverWeb and check you're signed in.
Find your submissions in the Client Area
- Sign in to your Client Area, or click the link in a submission email.
- Under Contact Form Submissions, click View Form Submissions.
- Choose the form in the list and click Select.
From there you can:
- Search (for example, type 2026-10 to find October's forms) and sort by any column.
- Export all submissions to a CSV file, or tick some and choose With Selected > Export.
- Download files from the Attachments column, or tick several and choose With Selected > Download Attachments. Scroll the table sideways if you can't see the column.
- Delete single submissions with the bin icon, several with With Selected > Delete, or the form and all its submissions with Delete Entire Form.
Changed a form and published it again? The Client Area may show more than one form with the same name. Each one holds the submissions sent while that version was live, with its own fields.
Signatures
The Signature field (EverWeb 4.6 and later) suits model releases, permission slips, consent forms and simple agreements. Rules for electronic signatures differ by country and by type of document, so check with your lawyer or professional body that a signature on a web form is enough for your use. See Get agreements, contracts and consent forms signed online.
Payments
In EverWeb 4.6 and later, open the Payments section of the form's Widget Settings and tick Accept Payments. Add your Stripe key or your PayPal details, choose a currency, and give your options prices. The order is held until payment is confirmed. Then you get the email, the Client Area record and any files, marked Paid. An order that is never paid still reaches you a few hours later, marked Unpaid order, so you don't lose the enquiry. Payments are one-off only, and Stripe or PayPal charge their own fees. See Sell a product with options and extras from your contact form and Take donations on your website with a contact form.
Good to know
- Where files are kept. Uploaded files are stored on EverWeb's servers. Your website should have the padlock (HTTPS) so forms are sent securely, and payments need it: see My site says 'Not Secure': how to get HTTPS (SSL) on your website. Download files you need and delete submissions you no longer need.
- The confirmation email needs spam protection. Tick Use reCaptcha SPAM Protection and choose a Captcha Provider first. See How to add SPAM protection with reCaptcha to Contact Forms.
- Publishing to another host? It needs PHP (we recommend PHP 8.2 or later) and your host must allow file uploads. Payments also need PHP with cURL. See What are the server requirements of the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-on?.
- Don't collect card numbers, bank details, passwords or ID numbers in form fields. With payments, card details go to Stripe or PayPal, never to your website.
