Do these in order. Your old site keeps working until the step where you change nameservers.
1. Get a hosting plan. Buy any EverWeb + Hosting plan. Already have Standalone? In your client area go to Services, select EverWeb Standalone, and click Upgrade.
2. Back up your email, if you have addresses at your domain. Messages are not moved automatically. Export them from your email app (Apple Mail instructions). If your app uses POP3, your mail is already on your computer. No addresses at your domain? Skip this.
3. Quit and reopen EverWeb so it picks up your new plan.
4. Publish to your new hosting. Open your project and go to File > Edit Publishing Settings. Set Publish To to EverWeb, and choose your account under Accounts and your site under Domains. Click Publish.
No EverWeb project yet? Build or import your content first. Sites from Wix, Squarespace, WordPress and others can't be opened in EverWeb, but our team can rebuild your site for you.
5. Create the same email addresses here. For example, if you have [email protected] now, create [email protected] with us. How to create an address.
6. Point your domain to us. Make sure your email is backed up first. Then change the nameservers at your domain company to the two in your Welcome to EverWeb email. Full steps. This can take up to 48 hours, but usually finishes within 6, depending on your internet provider (ISP).
7. Import your email, if you exported it in step 2, and set up your devices.
8. Check everything. Visit your site in a private window. Send and receive a test email. If you added HTTPS, allow up to 24 hours for the certificate.
9. Cancel your old hosting only once all of this works.
