A charity or nonprofit website needs to tell your story, make giving straightforward, bring in volunteers and fill your events. In EverWeb 4.6 and later, a contact form can take one-off donations, volunteer sign-ups and event registrations, so the main jobs happen on your own website.
Who uses this
- An animal rescue takes donations with preset amounts of 10, 25 and 50, plus an "any amount" option.
- A food bank recruits volunteers with a form that asks which days they're free and which jobs they'd like.
- A hospice charity sells places in a sponsored walk, with T-shirt sizes.
- A small community trust needs visitor numbers for a grant report.
Features marked (add-on) need the Contact Forms Enhanced add-on. Payments and signatures also need EverWeb 4.6 or later. See What is the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-on?

EverWeb features that help
Donations (add-on)
Offer preset amounts with Segmented Buttons or Card Select, and an "any amount" option with a Stepper or Slider whose Unit Price is 1 (for example Min 5, Max 1000, Step 5), because there's no field where donors type their own amount. A Toggle with Price When On set to a percentage (such as 3%) can ask donors to help cover card fees. Donors pay on Stripe's or PayPal's own checkout page, and the confirmation email can thank them and show the amount. Check your local rules on what an official donation receipt must include. See Take donations on your website with a contact form.
Monthly giving
Form donations are one-off. For regular monthly gifts, use the recurring tools in your own PayPal or Stripe account, or Membership Sites paid plans for supporters who join a members' scheme. The PayPal and Stripe widgets can also add Donate buttons. See Members-only pages, logins and paid subscriptions: EverWeb Membership Sites and Take payments on your website with the PayPal and Stripe widgets.
Volunteer sign-ups
A volunteer form can use Choice Chips for the jobs people want, a Checkbox list for the days they're free and a Consent tick box linked to your volunteer policy. With the add-on, a Signature field can collect a signed agreement or a parent's consent for a young volunteer. Rules for electronic signatures differ by country and by document, so check that a signature on a web form is enough for your use. Don't ask for bank details or government ID numbers in a form. See Get agreements, contracts and consent forms signed online.
Events and fundraisers (add-on for payments)
Sell places with Card Select for ticket types, a Stepper for the number of tickets and a Drop Down Menu for sizes or meal choices. Each person gets a confirmation email. See Event registration and ticket sales with your contact form.
Telling your story
Post news and thank-yous on EverWeb's blog. For a short film about your work, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and show it in a shape with its Fill set to Video. See How do I add a blog to my EverWeb website? and How do I add a video, a background video or music to my EverWeb website?.
Feedback from the people you help
A short form with an Emoji Scale or Star Rating gives you results for your reports. See Collect feedback, reviews and survey answers with ratings.
Numbers for funders
Website Stats (EverWeb + Hosting) or Google Analytics show how many people visit and which pages they read. See See how many people visit your website: Website Stats and Google Analytics.
Reaching everyone
Alt text, real headings and good contrast help people who use screen readers. If you serve more than one language community, you can build pages in both. See Make your website accessible: alt text, headings, link text and contrast and Build a website in two languages.
HTTPS before you take payments
Form payments need the padlock on your site. See My site says 'Not Secure': how to get HTTPS (SSL) on your website.
Keep it in the organisation's name
Set up the EverWeb account, domain, and PayPal or Stripe account in the organisation's name, so the website doesn't depend on one volunteer. See Build a website for your club, church or nonprofit with EverWeb.
Discounts
We offer discounts for nonprofits and charities. Contact us and tell us about your organisation.
