Move my website from Wix, Squarespace or Lovable to EverWeb and stop paying monthly fees

You can move your website to EverWeb and stop paying a monthly fee. With EverWeb, you pay once for the software, or a yearly price that includes your hosting. Your website can't be imported, so it needs to be rebuilt in EverWeb, by you or by us. Your current website stays online until you're ready to switch.

What it costs

  Cost Includes
EverWeb Standalone $89.95 USD once The software and one year of updates and support. After that, you can keep using your version. Another year of updates and support is optional, at $59.95 USD. Publish to your own web host.
EverWeb + Hosting From $99.95 USD a year The software, updates, support, hosting and email accounts.

To compare, add up what you pay now over a whole year, including any email, domain and add-on fees. See the pricing page for current prices.

Why switch from Wix, Squarespace or Lovable?

  • You own your design. You get your own project file (the editable copy of your website, saved on your computer).
  • You can host it anywhere. Publish to EverWeb Hosting or to another web host. You aren't tied to one service, its subscriptions, or its monthly or yearly price increases.
  • You can work offline. Work on your website on your Mac or Windows computer, even without an internet connection, and publish when you're ready.

Two ways to move

Rebuild it yourself. Download EverWeb and try it for free. Then copy your text and images across, page by page.

We rebuild it by hand. Open a support ticket for a no-obligation quote to convert your website, with your website address and roughly how many pages it has. Rebuilds are affordable, and we do them quickly. You'll see the price before you agree to anything.

Either way, you'll make changes yourself in EverWeb afterwards. It's a drag-and-drop website builder, so you don't need to write code.

What moves across, and what needs thought

Moves across: your text, images, links and pages, and your domain name. If we rebuild it, we keep the design as close as we can.

What you have now What to know
A store, bookings or a members area These are features of your current service, so they don't carry over automatically, but EverWeb has options. You can take payments with PayPal, or by credit card with Stripe, and connect to many low-cost e-commerce solutions such as Gumroad, Etsy, Shopify and E-Junkie. See Can I add e-commerce or PayPal to my website? Your options for selling online For a members area, use Membership Sites. Tell us what you use before you decide.
Forms We can recreate them with EverWeb's contact forms. Past submissions stay with your old service, so save any you need first.
A blog EverWeb has a blog, and your posts would be rebuilt along with your other pages.
Page addresses We try to keep them, but can't promise that every address or your position on Google stays the same.
A design made with Lovable or another AI tool Ask us about converting any AI design into EverWeb, so it's easy to edit and publish. We can rebuild ordinary pages. Member logins can be done with EverWeb Membership Sites, which is often lower cost and easier to manage through EverWeb. Databases and other custom features belong to an app rather than a website, and can't be rebuilt in EverWeb. Tell us what your website does, and we'll tell you what's possible.

Your domain and email

You keep your domain name. If you bought it through Wix, Squarespace or another company, you can leave it there and point it to EverWeb Hosting, or transfer it to us.

Check your email before you change anything. Changing your nameservers moves your email too. If your email is with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another service, tell us first so we can keep your mail records in place. See My domain, my website, my hosting and my email: who does what?

Do these in order

  1. Rebuild your website in EverWeb, or have us do it, and check it.
  2. Choose where to publish: EverWeb + Hosting, or your own web host.
  3. Publish it with File > Publish Entire Site.
  4. Point your domain to your new host. This can take up to 48 hours, but usually finishes within 6, depending on your internet provider (ISP).
  5. Check your website and your email.
  6. Only then, cancel your old plan. Save anything you still need first, as you may lose access to it.

Move your website and email to EverWeb Hosting without downtime has the full steps.
