Yes. EverWeb has built-in widgets for taking payments with PayPal and Stripe (credit and debit cards). You can sell products, take donations and set up subscriptions, with no extra add-on. In EverWeb 4.6 and later, a contact form can also take payments, with the Contact Forms Enhanced add-on. For members-only pages and logins, there's Membership Sites. For a large shop, you can link or embed a shop from another service.
Your options
| You want to | Use |
|---|---|
| Sell a few products, take donations or bookings | The PayPal Modern, PayPal (Legacy) or Stripe Payment widget. Each makes a payment button, and your visitor pays on PayPal's or Stripe's own checkout page |
| Take an order, booking, registration or donation along with details from the buyer | A Contact Form Advanced form with payments (EverWeb 4.6 and later, Contact Forms Enhanced add-on). Visitors choose priced options and pay on Stripe's or PayPal's checkout page |
| A simple shopping cart | The PayPal (Legacy) widget, with Add to Shopping Cart and View Cart buttons |
| Charge members to see members-only pages | Membership Sites, a separate add-on with logins, membership levels and card payments through Stripe |
| Send downloads to buyers automatically | An outside service such as Gumroad or E-Junkie |
| Run a full shop with stock control | An outside shop such as Shopify or Etsy, linked or embedded on your page |
You'll need your own PayPal or Stripe account. They charge a fee on each payment.
A widget or a form?
A payment widget is a buy button for a set product or amount, and it can also take subscriptions. A contact form with payments suits a sale that comes with questions: a class registration with a child's name and age, a custom order with sizes and a message, or a session deposit with a date. It takes one-off payments only, one order at a time. See the comparison in Take payments on your website with the PayPal and Stripe widgets.
