I applied meta tags but XYZ analyzer says there are no meta tags. Did I do something wrong?

No, you did not do anything wrong.

Currently, no tool will detect whether or not iWeb based sites has meta tags installed or not. For the full technical reason see below, however, you can still verify that your tags are installed by following the instructions found at;

http://www.ragesw.com/kb/68

Don't worry, they will still be detected by search engines.

The reason why no tool will be able to detect your meta tags is because iWeb uses a meta refresh tag on the index.html to forward to your actual URL. No meta tag analyzer tool that you will find online will follow the meta refresh tag to find your actual meta tags.

Please do not use them to verify whether or not your meta tags are installed properly.
