I see two different versions of my website, one optimized with seo tool and one not optimized

If you see a different website when you search for your site in Google versus typing it into your web browser OR different web browsers show different versions of your website, the following will fix this.

Look closely at the URL you are looking at in each web browser. They will be different as one will be a long URL and one will be a short URL. This is what you need to do to fix the problem;

1) In iWeb publish your site to a local folder but select 'Publish Entire Site' from the File menu in iWeb (it is at the top of your screen)

2) Open your site in iWeb SEO Tool and publish your website

3) Create a sitemap file for your website and submit to search engines. The free video tutorials near the middle of that page under the VIDEO TUTORIALS tab will walk you through the process.

4) Optionally you can delete the website that iWeb published to your server. Get your iWeb website name (it is what is displayed in the top left hand corner of iWeb) and delete that directory on your FTP server. Your web hosting provider can help you do this, we cannot do this for you unless you are using our Web hosting services.

5) In your web browsers, clear the history so that it does not automatically take you to the unoptimized version of your website.

6) Remember to ALWAYS use iWeb SEO Tool to publish and not iWeb.
