Just switched from iWeb to Everweb and from a 2008 iMac with 6gb RAM to the brand new 5K Retina iMac with 16gb RAM so no issues with the hardware. I have built my website in Everweb which was a breeze. Very similar to iWeb, very intuitive. Great software. My problem is that it takes up to 16 hours (YES HOURS!) to upload the site. I had the same problems on my old machine when I published using SEO for iWeb (also Rage software) As a wedding photographer I need to update my website on a weekly basis and this delay in publishing is simply NOT acceptable. With just iWeb on it's own I could make major changes to my site and upload them in minutes. Ever web literally takes HOURS!!! Please help someone. Ray |

When publishing a website for the first time it could take a while but 16 hours suggests that something is amiss. Publishing for the first time can take a while if you have a large number of images which are not optimised for the web. Updates should publish in a matter of minutes. Since you are a photographer, the problem is likely to be too many images with too large a file size and perhaps the method you are using to insert them. If you post the URL to your website, you will get a better response. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy, my URL is www.bradleyweddingphotography.co.uk I do have a large number of images but when I first started dragging them from "Assets" I had the pop up warning me of the large file size and so I ticked the check box to ensure that all future images would be resized. i assume that this is working in the background. I was having the same problem on my old iMac when I started to use SEO for iWeb. If i just published directly from iWeb it uploaded very quickly but I obviously had no SEO which is why I made the switch to Everweb. Any suggestions? |

The page shows 5 large images. Total : 12 Megabytes. The picture size is avg. 5000 x 3800 pixels. Simple question, difficult answer : WHY? |

iWeb automatically optimized image size unless this was turned off in preferences.
