| Sometimes I forget about the little Apple gems. It's not PhotoShop but, it is a handy way to do a quick mask |

A big +1 for instant alpha and masking features. A big part of what made iWeb great to me was that you didn't need to prepare pictures etc in another application before bringing them in. So also things like adding sharpness and changing colour balance would be on top of my wishes... |

[quote="Yelena":lwypyhhy]I am still hoping for a better Image masking and REALLY, REALLY need the Alpha feature.... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->[/quote:lwypyhhy] Not particularly fussed about the 'Instant Alpha' feature but the Masking feature for images is sorely missed!! |

| YES, Instant Alpha. I could still use the version from iWeb and copy and paste it, I believe. But duplicating what iWeb had and putting your own good work on it is paramount. |

| Thread: Font type, color, and size |
| I have my phone numbers at the top of my page inside of a text box. Until this new version, they have shown up just fine, as well as the HTML I have coded in a different area. I published site changes only, without changing either of these areas, and now both of them are showing up incorrectly. I've deleted the boxes and the code and re-entered it, only to have it show up as it did after the publish today. As I'm not an experienced coder--thus the reason for using a WYSIWYG--I am lost on how to fix this, and really don't want my web-based business site showing up this way until the next beta. How can this be quickly fixed? |

| In the widgets section there is what seems to be a Drop Down Navigation menu. It seems very bleak and doesn't offer much customization, and I'm not sure it's working properly. |

| Thread: Multiple text formats in one text box |
|
I found that all the text in one text box that is a hyperlink must have the same color for each normal, rollover, and visited. It would be ideal if we could have one line have one set of colors and another line a different set of colors. For example, if I have the following lines of text set as hyperlinks in one text box, I'd want to have different colors such as. First line of text = Light blue normal, dark blue rollover, light blue normal Second line of text = Light gray normal, dark gray rollover, light gray normal |

It wasn't working, but trying it again now it is. What it kept doing was I would change the top line and the bottom line would change to match on its own. Then I go to change the colors on the bottom line and the top would change. |

| Thread: Darker colors in Preview |
|
Haven't seen anything on this issue recently in the Forum, but I've run into that old issue-greater intensity of colors and slightly thicker fonts when I go to Preview in Beta 23. (Haven't tried publishing to folder because I've run into some obstacles signing in. ) What I see in Preview looks pretty good but it does make it difficult to know exactly what I'll be getting when at first I create in EW. Incidentally, I'm curious-is what I see in Preview exactly the same thing that would come up in Publishing to Folder and Publishing on the Web? I'm attaching screenshots of the two versions. You'll notice the excerpt from EW has a more faded quality than the Preview version. |

| Thread: Mobile pages |

I'm working on mobile pages. Just a couple of quick questions before I do this incorrectly and have to re-do it all. I see that some mobile websites have a "main website" button. I gather that wouldn't work here because it would flip them back to the mobile version. Right? I thought I would use the navigation widget to create a mobile-only navigation bar but it pulled up my regular navigation bar. Not a problem, because links will work just fine, but I want to be sure I'm not overlooking something clever that I could do instead. Thanks! |

Perfect! Thanks, that was very helpful! One more question -- will the contact widget work on a mobile device? |

I must be doing something wrong. I'm putting in http://www.kristadavis.com/home.html?fullsite=true and I've also tried kristadavis as the page name. Both come up as not found. This might just be something weird on my computer, or it could be a glitch. When I put the link in (even if I save) and then go to a different page for a moment, it's gone when I return. Except it's not really gone. It slips out of sight and returns if I click the downward arrow once. Thanks! |
