| Thread: Adding mp4 Video? |
| To be truly useful the easyweb software needs the ability to independently include video. Youtube and vimeo linking is not always an option although I appreciate your concerns re video formats. I also agree with a previous comment regarding password protection for some pages would be useful. I make corporate films for a living and a password protected client viewing area for rough cuts is essential. Hope you can at least sort the video player after all iweb had one! PS really like the rest of the software v easy to use many thanks |

[quote="Roddy":23a72lqd] From the feedback and questions I received from the iWebforMusicians website, I know that a lot of people do not see YouTube as the answer to their prayers. They want visitors to go to their website - not hang out on YouTube and post facetious comments. YouTube has become synonymous with cheap and nasty and has no place on a website promoting a quality product or service. Pitching a movie or a band performance via YouTube is a recipe for rejection.[/quote:23a72lqd] There really does not need to be this negative stigma about YouTube and websites. YouTube is the most popular video hosting website on the internet. There are many, many large and professional websites that use YouTube videos on their sites. We have been using YouTube for our videos for years and we have only had positive experiences. If comments are a concern, you can just disable comments (though comments can work in people's favours). If you don't want your video made available to the public, you can just make it private and only allow certain people to view it. In the end, the goal is to have someone be able to view the video properly. YouTube does a great job with this. YouTube has A LOT of benefits to using it that some people don't even consider. This is not meant to encourage Chris to use YouTube. But I just wanted to defend it a bit, because there really are tons of great reasons to use YouTube, and there is no reason to be discouraged from using it. |

| Thread: Editing Headers & Footers |
| I am trying to add a Navigation Menu similar to the one on my website. I have tried to use the Navigation Widget, but it lists all the pages of my site by default. I need a way to either choose the displayed links in the Widget settings, or cut and paste images or text frames in the header to create Navigation buttons. Is there a way to do either of this in Easyweb? |

Hi, Thanks for the tip. I was wondering if there was a way to copy or cut a text frame in the page and paste it in a header or a footer. |

| Sorry, I meant "Text Box". To better understand what I mean, click the "Text Box" Button, then, select the text box, copy it, click the Header and paste. The Text box is pasted on the page instead of the header. |

| Thread: Mobile site error |
|
Hi, when I attempted to view the mobile version of my site, using my iPhone it get the following message (attachment). I followed the instructions from the RAGESW blog to set up my mobile pages. I have published my files 'to Folder' and uploaded using SEO Tool to the directory public_html/UKMain. When I use an FTP Client to move the mobile home.html file out of the UKMain folder into the Public_html folder I no longer get the error message but, at the same time, I don't get the fully loaded page that I am expecting...instead I get a partially loaded page. Is there a way that I can set Easyweb to search for the mobile home.html file in the SAME folder (Public_html/UKMain) as the rest of my website? OR can you tell me which files/folders i need to move back into the public_html folder to achieve fully-loaded mobile pages. Thanks |

| Thread: Show active page in navigation |
| Maybe adding a states panel to control the different states of the link " Normal, Rollover, Mouse Down, ... Active" |

| How about for the text portion of the navigation? |

Other apps have made this fairly simple for the user allowing you to select the text then change the color on which ever state you want. (not saying the coding is a breeze) |

| Thread: Lists (bullets & numbers) |
| A lot of people used numbered or bulleted list in iWeb. Most of the template pages even had lists on them. Is this feature going to be brought in? |
