Replace images

I'm trying to make things faster and more simple. I'm working on a website for an artist. We have 8 categories (so far) Each category as a page with 15 thumbnail images on it. Each of those thumbnails is clickable to that image in a larger size. On the pages with the thumbnails, I want them set up exactly the same. So I'm making the first category page, getting it perfectly set up, and then duplicating it for the other categories. Of course, when I duplicate it, it has the thumbnail images from the first category so I need to change the images. I could delete all the images and put in 15 new thumbnails and then make sure they are all in the same exact spot as the first thumbnail page and then add the drop shadows. But it would be far easier to do all the category pages if I could replace the thumbnail images, so just drop in a different image and it will be in the same spot (with the same drop shadow) as the image I'm replacing. I don't think I can do that with Everweb, can I? I know I can with Wordpress so it would be great if Everweb did this. Is there any other way to accomplish this task that I may be missing? I can't really do it by creating a Master page, can I? Because then all the images will be "set" in the master page. That's my only real complaint with Everweb, when you make big websites that have pages that are almost exactly the same, I don't see an easy way to duplicate the elements, I have to spend a lot of time deleting and replacing and then lining everything up exactly in the same spot. Thanks for any ideas you may have, I could be missing something obvious! Susan |

HI Susan, You can drag and drop any image on an existing image shape that has been added to your site. It will take on all the settings of the old image but replace it with the new one. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
