Hi, Completly new to Everweb and this forum and trying to learn how to use it. Many questions so far. Like: How do I save a webiste under another name. So where is "save as"? Thanks, Rob |

Hi Rob, someone else may have a better way than this. When you open EW and are presented with the initial projects window, that has your projects in a list; select the one you want with a single click, then click on the small arrows on the right side of that box, choose Show on Disk, a window will open with the project file highlighted, then either right click and select Duplicate or Copy, or choose one of those options from File or Edit at the top, then you will have a second project file of that project. You can rename the copy/duplicate and it will still open with EW. I have no idea if this messes anything up down the road, but is the only way I know of doing it. |

In version 1.8.2 this will cause files from the original and duplicated site to publish their files to the same location so you may get pages mixed up between the two. We are working on a fix for this in version 1.9. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Thanks, Jim and Paul. So no proper working 'save as' function at the moment. That's regrettable because I'm in the process of learning the program and would like to keep the 'learning site' seperate from the real one. Can I copy elements from one site to another instead? |

You can create a test site to experiment with and copy any items over to the "real" one at anytime. You can open a second site - while the first is still open - by opening the Projects window from the File menu and double clicking the second site's name. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
