Hi. I'm presently running a couple of personal websites that contain blogs. I frequently post them on Facebook and on Twitter. I select the same asset using the social media image drop-down menu in both of them. In both they are sited in the Master Page elements of the web pages. In one website the image duly appears with the link in Facebook and in Twitter. In the other it does not. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Blessings Andy |

If you post the two URLs here, I'll be able to provide better feedback. Without them, I wouldn't know what the issue is.

Hi Paul. Fair point. This is a page from the one that does not work: http://www.andrewmorton.net/Andrew_A_Morton/blogs-from-the-croft/a-greek-oracle.html and this is a page from the one that does work: http://andrewmorton.net/sermons-2015/who-do-you-think-you-are.html Blessings Andy |

The social image you have set for the one that doesn't work doesn't exist on your server; http://www.andrewmorton.net/Andrew_A_Morton/ewExternalFiles/Andrew%20Morton.JPG Try publishing your website again from the File->Publish Entire site. Also you should try removing the space from the file name in your assets list. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hi Paul Thanks, but that doesn't seem to work either. I've renamed the file as you suggested and used the renamed asset in all the places the previously named one was used. I've then published the entire site. Now Facebook offers me a seemingly random selection of images from the page other than the one I have chosen in the drop-down menu Blessings Andy |

I have been looking at the page sources for the two pages I sent you. There is one subtle difference between the header codes and I wonder if it is significant. The one that works contains the line: <meta property="og:image" content="http://andrewmorton.net/ewExternalFiles/Andrew%20Morton.JPG" /> The equivalent line in the one that does not work reads: <meta property="og:image" content="http://www.andrewmorton.net/Andrew_A_Morton/ewExternalFiles/AndrewMorton.JPG" /> Note that the name of the asset was changed in the latter one as suggested.
