So, this is what I did... 1. I recently made a normal (blank page) template of my 1 page website 2. Duplicated that page and edited it to become a "mobile" page in the mobile settings section (changed width to 480px and resized all content and pics). 3. Saved the file (both pages) normal & mobile site pages 4. Closed EverWeb and re-opened When I re-opened EverWeb... to my surprise only the "mobile page" existed and the normal website page had dissapeared! Why has this happened and what should I do to recover the original page I worked on for a whole day! Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

You can recover it but make sure when following these instructions that you DO NOT remove or rename anything within your project file. 1. Open the Projects window 2. Next to your project select the little arrows and select 'Show On Disk' 3. Duplicate the project file so you have a backup of it 4. Right click on the file and select 'Show Package Contents' 5. Navigate to the Website Pages directory 6. You will see your main page ending in .xml. 7. Open your EverWeb project in EverWeb now 8. Drag that onto the Webpage list in your EverWeb project Now, never go into the Project file again, unless you have to. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Thank you for your timely reply Paul however, having done what you said, I can not find the .xml main page only the mobile.xml and the test.xml page exist there. Looks like it has dissapeared for good :-/ Why do you think this has happened? Has it something to do with duplicating the main page and editing that as a mobile page which Everweb has seen as the same page therefore only saved the latest (mobile) page? I'm at a loss here, but I will see if I can replicate the issue once more... |
