I am in CASTING, and have used iWeb to post casting selects for years. I just switched over to EverWeb. My QuickTime movies are not downloadable when published from EverWeb, like they used to be in iWeb. My video files must be downloadable. Solution? |

| My temporary solution is to place text saying DOWNLOAD under the image, and making a hyper-link to the movie file. You may then "save linked file". But it shouldn't require that much extra work, or the retraining of my clients. | |

In the past the object code was used for audio and video. With or without iWeb. The controller has a triangle on the right to download the audio/video. http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_object.asp Today the video element is used. It has no download option. http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp You have to provide the download link yourself. And often you can right-click the video and download it. |

No option "right-click" on video, at least on Safari. Are there any more video widgets available that have a download button? |

See THIS page for how to create a link to a file which will download to the visitor's desktop.
