I formerly used iWeb, but now that It is no longer supported, EverWeb seemed to be the way to go. I'm looking to do some pretty basic things in EverWeb, but can not find ways to do them. I want to make a link to my Vimeo account. It seems that I can should be able to get a single video on the site, but I can not seem to get a link to Vimeo I want to compress a Word file and add a way to open it. I follow the instructions but it does not show up on the page. there seems to be a step or two missing. Is any one doing a manual for the beginning user? I need to get this up and going soon, but may need to find another way to do it. |

About the Vimeo video; you have a Vimeo account and want a Vimeo video on one of your pages? You need to go to your Vimeo account and get the Embed Code for the video, then in EW Inspector (on right) click the Widget at top to open the Widget Inspector and drag a video or Vimeo widget onto the page, resize it, and paste the code into the blank field in the Inspector. If you want to have a link to your Vimeo page; you need to put something on the page (text, shape, etc), select it, then click the Link at top of Inspector (looks like chain links), select to make it a Link, choose External Page, paste in the page address from the Vimeo page, and then decide if you want the link to open in a new page or in the page the visitor is already on. |

Quote: to get a single video on the site You should use the Vimeo embed code in an HTML snippet or use one of the various widgets to insert a Vimeo video on a web page. Media Widgets and HTML5 Media To link to a document, first drag the doc from the Finder into the EverWeb Assets list and then create a text or image link using the "Link to:" selector in the Hyperlink inspector tab.
