A list of new features.

1. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Dragable menus:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] This would be very nice. Maybe make it as on option in the preferences to choose to make them dragable. What i really want to see is that whole the screen is the site editing screen. So that i have a whole screen for editing my site with. Just let the bar on the bottom of the screen in it. With some new symbols just like in iWeb the inspector, photos, and so on...

2. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Cut image function:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] Just like in iWeb a function that you can cut an image in EasyWeb. So when i add an image in EasyWeb sometimes i just don't want the whole picture but a selection of it.

3. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Photo slideshow:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] What i mean with this is as example a Wow slider feature but than implemented in EasyWeb. This would be a very nice feature and...Easy.

4. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Drop down menus:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] I know that these feature is already in EasyWeb, but it is very simple and basic and i just don't love it like it is now. I hope the drop down menus will be more advanced and can get the look of advanced Css menus.

5. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Blog page:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] I know that this is discussed in another thread, i just put it also in here because it is a feature that i also really want in EasyWeb. But the idea of a wordpress blog feature sounds really nice. A really look out for that one.

6. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Poll box:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] Something that i miss to. It would be very nice and i think not to difficult to create an implement into EasyWeb.

7. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Comment box[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] Also this is a feature that a really miss. Would be nice to have comment boxes with the blog pages but also to have seperate comment boxes so that we can simply put them where ever we want.

8. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Opacity:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] What i mean with this is the following thing. When i add a rectangle and choose gradient fill i miss the opacity bar in the choose color screen. iWeb had this feature but in EasyWeb the opacity bar isn't there. Pleasu put a opacity bar there.

9. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Picture frame:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] I know there are a lot of picture frames in EasyWeb...but i miss one. As example in the program "Pages" you also have picture frames that u can use when adding an image. There is a picture frame that make the outsides of the image opacity. This would be very nice if you can implement that also in EasyWeb.

10. [b:2eur3tku][u:2eur3tku]Edit image:[/size:2eur3tku][/u:2eur3tku][/b:2eur3tku] You have this feature in iPhoto, Pages, Keynote, iWeb, etc... But not in EasyWeb. What i mean with this is the following. When you add an image as example in iWeb you can choose in iWeb to edit the image, so the brigthness, coulers, contrast, etc... Please add this feature to in EasyWeb.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this was it. If you could reply on the 10 points that a posted that would be very nice.
Information like we are workign on it or we defenitly put that into EasyWeb would be very nice to tell me.

Thank a lot,
Jens.

Thanks for the suggestions Jen.

1. I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean here. Can you provide more details?

2. We are working on this feature

3. We are working on this feature but you can add it now with HTML Snippets

4. The current drop down menus are very powerful. Please provide specific things you would like to do and we can add them. We don't want to provide too many options as that makes things confusing for users.

5. We are working on this.

6. This is something best suited to be added by an HTML Snippet

7. This is also something best added using the HTML Snippet as it is a specialized feature that not many users would need.

8. We will add this

9. Will look into this.

10. We are working on this feature as well.

Thanks for you suggestions. We are working on improving EasyWeb but we really want to make sure it is as stable and bug free as possible at the moment so we can get it released. We will continue to improve it over time.

Ok thank you very much for anwsering my questions.

And what i mean with my first point "Dragable menus" is the following.
In iWeb the inspector, colours, fonts, etc... are al separate pop up menus that you can drag where ever you want. In EasyWeb you have the right bar with the inspector, shape, etc...
But i like it when a have a whole screen to editing my site in it. And the right bar in EasyWeb takes a lot of the screen space away. So dragable pop up menus (inspector, shape, colours, etc..) just like in iWeb would be very nice.

Maybe also on option to hide the left bar with the pages, etc.. a sort of little symbol in the left corner, so when you click on it you can hide/show the left bar and maybe also a symbol for the right bar for hide/show.

What i mean with the drop down menu bar can u see in the following site, that i have just quickly made. http://www.thebloodbrothers.nl/Test/Test/Test.html

The menu bar is a css drop down menu from this site. http://cssmenumaker.com
The drop down menus look a lot nicer than in EasyWeb. Maybe you can make a seperate tab "Menu styles" and make styles just as on the site. Users can then easily choose one of the styles and they have such a beatiful menu bar than the css drop down menu but then much more easier.

The slideshow on the site is a Wow slider. http://wowslider.com
As you said it is easy to add one, only when you know how and when you know that Wow slider exist. So maybe add a Wow slider widget in the widgets menu so users can easily add photo's to it and can edit the slideshow in EasyWeb.

What you said over the comment box feature that not every one need that is true. But some people need it, such as i. Maybe you can implement the comment box feature with the blog feautre ?

This is for Paul: you said that Drop-down menus are very powerful so I have a feeling I am not doing something properly. When one is created and published the Drop-down part has red background and there is nothing I can do to get rid of it or change to another color. I am now using the latest version of EasyWeb...

Select the navbar and go to Shape Options->Color Fill

Is it set to red there? Change the color to something else, that should fix the issue.

@Jens: Many of the scripts you posted have copyrights and licensing issues which makes it impossible to include them built into EasyWeb. You can use the HTML Widget to implement them though.

We are focused more on bugs so I cannot lay out when the rest of your feature requests will be implemented. Although we'd like to include everything, if we did that EasyWeb would never be released. We only have so many resources we are able to put into it.

We do want to make the Inspector a floating window like iWeb though.

Paul, sorry to bring more problems...Now I created a menu and when I changed to have border separators I can see them in EasyWeb but they don't seem to register when published. Also the spacing of the Tabs...

I'll need you to send me your website project file then.

Also, can you clarify what you mean by the spacing of the tabs?

I will send you the folder...But to answer about "spacing"... When creating a menu, there is an option in the last tab - where you can check "Border Separator" for Padding and Spacing. I change it and can see the change in EW app but not on the published page.

Also, it seems that when I open EB it automatically signs me in. Is there an option to change that? I am not ready to publish anything and want to only work with local folders on the computer...I know I can choose Folder or Easy Web but that means doing it every time I open the program...

Can you tell me which of the two websites has the problem?

Also, EasyWeb must be signed in to publish anywhere, whether it is a folder or online. Right now we just allow you to publish without logging in while it is in beta.

EasyWeb will remember the location you publish too so you shouldn't have to set this each time. If it is not remembering, please let me know.

Looks like EasyWeb wasn't properly remembering your publishing settings. It will for the next release now.

IT is the Chudnovsky Symposium - if you look at the top of the first (Blank) Page, there is a Nav Bar and there are white separators and some space between the Tabs. When I publish it, there are no white separators or spaces, it is just one solid block...

When I open the program the little window pops saying "The password for.... was reset" - it always pops 4 times, I click "ok" and after 4 th time it allows me to start....
And no, it doesn't remember the location. Every time I choose "Folder" but every time I open EW the setting for publishing is EW...

Ok I am looking into your issues. A few things;

1) The next beta will remember the location that you publish your site too

2) I am going to have to reset your password so that our system knows about it. Since you changed it in cPanel EasyWeb can't get it. I will send you an email shortly with further instructions.

3) There are currently issues with have a directory be the first page in EasyWeb which is what you have set up. We are working on a fix for this.
