Hi, Paul I added a blank blog page to my site and it's working alright, but it's all white. I would like to have it in the same design as the rest of my site if possible or at least with some color and graphics... Is there a way? I put some graphics at the top of the (main/index) blog page as a workaround, which is ok too, but when I click on one of the blog entries, the sub-page is all white again... How did you get your blog (and all entries) to show up with the same design? Thanks in advance Hans |

HI, I've been working on the same issue. My advice - don't use a master page on the blog. The software is set up differently to provide the Master Page facility in posts. You can make a header/content/footer template for all your posts that will exactly match the rest of your site - use the preview pane of the post page. Anything you put there (use your 'show layout' facility') appears on all posts. Copy in the elements of your master page and adjust any errant measurements. I tried the master page route and had all sorts of anomolies. When I organised the post page using the preview pane feature, it all worked. My posts have background images, social media buttons, the site navigation menu, exactly as per the rest of my pages. (<<www.gillyflower.org.uk>> I hope this will save you some time. Trevor |

Hi Trevor, Thanks for your reply. I haven't got any difficulties, with the exception of having some problems when copying pictures to the blog. I just used a new blank page as a Master page and applied it to the blog page http://www.ne.jp/asahi/enjoy/english/blog-1/index.html and to the Photos page http://www.ne.jp/asahi/enjoy/english/photos.html but everything is working alright. (sorry, my hp is in Japanese, because I live in Japan, but you'll get the picture.... pun intended) BTW your page looks very nice Hans (from Holland) |
