How do I add a link to Facebook page/instead of login page?

I copy the URL of the Facebook page and paste it in the link for the Facebook button on my website. When you click on the Facebook button on the published web site you get a " login to Facebook page" instead of the page I want. What am I doing wrong?

Not everyone is a member of Facebook. Almost every page on Facebook's site is locked away from non-memebers. My guess is that is why this happens.
If you follow the link and login, does it then take you to the page linked to?

The Facebook page I want to link to is "Public". I've been told that you don't need a Facebook account to look at a Facebook page that is public. To answer you - yes once I log in I have access to the Facebook page.

can you post the link to the page? I am not a member of facebook and run into this all the time. Also check with facebook, they must have a developers area with a knowledgebase for all the stuff people do to link and create things for facebook users.
Not being a member of facebook, another guess of mine is that the page may be 'public' for the facebook community, but not for everyone on the web. Like where you would go to get a game for your page, I cannot access that, but everyone on facebook can.
I have been building a project using a social network builder and I have a Forum and a Profile Blocks page that could be considered 'public' since they are accessible to any that are logged in, but are locked away from any that are not, while everything else except Home is locked away unless it is your account page (cannot view another profile).

You can access www.bluemountainphotoclub.org and click on the Facebook logo. You will probably be asked to log in before you can see the page. I think this has to do with the way the Facebook page was set up (not by me), and there is no issue with Everweb in this regard.

Indeed, it is a facebook thing. The link is to 'groups' within facebook.
My guess is for most facebook members following it, will either be automatically logged in, or will have their info filled in and just click through the login page.
Think this way: facebook is a gated community online. Words and trickery come into play. In a real gated community, most residents don't think of themselves as 'exclusive', they picked that place because it is 'safe' for the family. They have a 'public park' and a 'public pool'. The park and pool are only 'public' to those residents that live within those walls. If they were to label them 'private park' and 'private pool' most residents would not show up, since they do not consider themselves to be exclusive, and thus not allowed to enter a 'private' area.
Same with facebook, most members would not try to access something labeled as 'private' because they don't think of themselves that way (not to mention the uproar some members would make thinking facebook is trying to be exclusive, not realizing it IS exclusive - only open to members).

So access without login is limited to those in the "Group"? Thanks
