Publishing problem moving from iWeb

User: David C. 10 years ago
My domain is with 1 and 1 and I have entered all the same details to publish to the FTP Server. Ever web publishes successfully, but I don't know where. It certainly isn't updating my domain/home page. I clearly do not understand what I'm supposed to be doing. Anyone help

First thing to try is the easiest; go to your site, click the refresh circle-arrow in url field a few times to refresh the page and kick the old cache out of the cache. It is very possible that your browser is feeding you the pages stored in its cache instead of the new page.

Thank you, Jim. I have just tried that, but to no avail. iWeb still publishes successfully to my domain and Everweb still publishes successfully to 'who knows where'. I called 1 and 1, but I simply did not understand what they were telling me.

I am sorry I do not have much help with this.
When you publish, do you publish from File- Publish Entire Site? On left side, when you click on site name(?), Is the correct info there, on that publishing page?
If you can email 1 and 1 and explain phone confusion and get a reply, you could post it here and some should be able to figure it out.

Moi aussi! Same thing. Everweb publishes to some very secret place. Ive tried going from desktop file through FileZilla as well and still evaporates.
My host thinks I'm totally nuts. Well, Im 78 and female so Im used to that but it doesn't help.

What do you have in the directory path field in EverWeb's publishing settings screen? Are you sure it matches what you have in iWeb?

If so, I would recommend deleting all the FTP details and re-entering them in EverWeb.

You can see and edit your FTP details by going to File menu at the top of your screen and selecting 'Edit Publishing Settings'.

If you have further trouble publishing, we also have a video tutorial on publishing with EverWeb.
