Duplicating or Save As for entire site? Or copy pages to new site?

Hi there Is it possible to do a 'save as' or duplicate the entire site, so that I can make changes to it without overwriting what I already have? Or to copy and paste entire pages from one site to another? You could do this in iWeb but I can't see how to do it in EW. I want to create a second site, many of the pages are similar to or identical to ones on my first site, and I don't want to have to create them all from scratch again. Is this possible? Thanks |

Open the projects window and click the up/down arrows to the right of the site name. This will allow you to show the file on disk. Duplicate it - command D - and then double click it to launch it in EverWeb. Rename the file at the top of the left column in the EW window. To copy from one site and paste to another, open the first one as usual and them choose to open the Projects WIndow from the File menu and double click the site name of the next site you want to open. Now both will be open and you can copy and paste between them. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy, thanks for your reply. Your second suggestion only allows you to copy and paste individual items such as pictures and text boxes from one site to another, but not an entire page. If I select everything on the page and try to copy across, it just drops everything all over the place, and the text boxes lose their size, so I have to resize and re-place everything in the right position. What I would like to be able to do is copy across the entire page, with everything in the right place. Is this possible? |

No, you can only copy the individual items. Why not duplicate the whole site and delete the pages/objects you don't need? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
