Email form doesn't send the message...

User: Marc M. 12 years ago
Hi,

I am in a test mode for a new web site and tried to enter a contact form on the main page of the web site. I did test it live and the form doesn't send emails... and no confirmation.

Here's the url : www.passionphotonature.com/test ; it's in the middle of the page (remember, it's in TEST mode... nothing final... and it's a french site).

My hosting is FatCow.

Thanks in advance for your help !

Hi Marc,

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

From what I can tell, everything is published correctly from EverWeb. The only thing I can't see is if you have set up the correct email address for your form since I don't have access to your server.

Please keep in mind that this could be a hosting related issue (unless you mistyped your email or didn't add one to the contact form). The email could be going to your spam folder or it could be blocked by your web host.

Your web host could be caching your site improperly and using an older upload that doesn't have all the contact form details entered. For example, if you published once without entering your email address, and then published again, your web host may be using the old, incomplete version.

There is no way for me to know for sure though.

Please keep in mind, this is why we offer the one-click publishing version, so that we can have access to the entire process of building your website so problems like these can be fixed quickly and easily (or never arise in the first place).

Sorry I cannot provide a concrete answer as to why this isn't working. All I can do is provide some things that may go wrong. Check with your web hosting provider to see if they have any clues.

Thanks Paul !

I did check with FAatCow and they have a special procedure for the forms to be run through their servers... ODD ! ! !

Thanks for the quick reply ! I am not at all a full time programmer but getting my hands dirty in learning the stuff... :-)
