| Thread: Embedding a Forum in my Website |
|
You can try to follow this tutorial which we made for embedding a forum on an iWeb site. The same principles apply, just remember to use EasyWeb's HTML Snippet and not iWeb's <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> http://www.ragesw.com/blog/2011/08/12/h ... b-website/ |

This is brilliant. Cheers! While iWeb is still viable, it's great to know there is a longterm solution when Apple breaks it :x Well done, Rage! So, is this going to be a paid "option" once this leaves beta? Feel a bit like this is the dangling carrot. |

| Thread: Whitespace at bottom of Gallery object |
|
Dropped about 90 images onto a Gallery that had been placed on the page and sized to width, then immediately published to folder. Safari displayed a large amount of whitespace between the last pic and the bottom of the gallery object. Back in EW, a single click in the whitespace to select the Gallery object caused a refresh and the whitespace was eliminated. I had intended to grab a screenshot once I selected the Gallery, but since the click fixed it I didn't get one, sorry. As a potential fix, could a refresh be triggered each time the gallery loses focus? |

| Thread: "Remote" access to add photo's by others. |
| If there can be a way for others from other locations to access the website to add photo's, or blog. Since I am using this for a "family living tree", I'd like to be able to have a password (to keep the honest people honest and the lazy and not too smart out). But once a family member is logged in to the site they can log into "their" page. A way to add photo's, comments, blogs or links. A way they can admin their own page for simple stuff. A great way to get future sales of EasyWeb. Just a thought. |

| How can I edit text? Do I have to delete the text I have already placed on my site in order to change the color or font or add a link to the text? |

| When attempting to open Beta 13, I receive this message: "EasyWeb is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash". It is my first EasyWeb download. |

Same here: "Damaged". I thought I would use Beta 12 but it's been deactivated. So, I guess we're all in a holding pattern. I added that "13" and it had no effect with or without it. [b:26pvod00][color=#FF0000:26pvod00]YEA ! It's working now ![/color:26pvod00][/b:26pvod00] |

Beta 13 is working for me, but the contact form submit button isn't working. Also, is there any way to add caption to photos within the photo gallery? |

| Nice. So far it is intuitive and familiar. Will it have built in SEO that iWeb has been missing? How about file management? I currently utilize MultiSite For iWeb to keep that straight. |

This is going to be a great product and for us iWeb users a blessed relief. Problems so far; Shape insertion area all greyed out but I may be missing something? Insertion of pictures confusing but now sorted, may need to be highlighted better Text editing also needs to be sorted as had to go into top bar for this. Mark Galloway Coventry |

Please forgive my confusion: BEFORE I can begin to "test" "EasyWeb," I have to PAY for the privilege?! I already am paying for a domain and would prefer to keep it. Admittedly, not doubt through my own ignorance, I did not realize that it was mandatory to create a Rage Web Hosting account, which is steeper than my current domain provider, prior to beginning to utilize "EasyWeb." Can I not simply continue to utilize my current domain (by publishing to a local folder and then FTPing the files to the domain provider) without having to change my domain provider to Rage's web services? My concern arises from how "EasyWeb" will work within the established parameters of my current domain provider, or is this endeavor counter to Rage Software's intent upon releasing "EasyWeb"? It seems somewhat dubious that I would begin to fund a site for my business using an application that is still in Beta testing phase. Please advise. Respectfully, E. James (totalkarate.org) |
