Viewing space characters (return) are different size than font

space characters (return) are different size than font

I had trouble coming up with a title for this. Basically, I have two text boxes and I'm trying to align them with cast ... crew on the left, names on the right... just like you'd see in the credits of a movie. But if I just use vertical spaces in one text box, it throws off the alignment. I'm forced to put a slash in there, or a period or something. See pics that follow:

When I replace the slashes with space, the change is not immediate. It's only after publishing, or moving the text boxes around, or whatever. Pretty soon, it gets messed up in EasyWeb. I should note that the text boxes are equally sized, having duplicated the right one from the left, with matching Y positions.

I can remember a lot of iWeb users struggling with this and not succeeding.

Doing this kind of layout would a lot easier using CSS and HTML if you were going to use it a lot in your site.

The next version (beta 21) may fix this.

I think this was a "might" or a "maybe"!

Why don't you use a table in an HTML Snippet?

If that's my only recourse, I will. With your help of course! If it is going to be fixed in one of the upcoming betas though, I can wait.

Always remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All my ex wives think I am downright ugly!
