font displays different after publishing

If you check the font style of Euro 85, there is a difference in easyweb (normal style) and after publishing (turns to bold). In both browsers firefox and safari.

HI

I had the same problem using Helvetica Light. The problem is that such as these are not web safe and so look different or distorted when you view them in your browser. There are some options:

1. Use only web safe fonts
2. Convert your font into a jpg file and then use these as "pictures" to replace the text. If you have some programming knowledge you can put all of your labels into a jpg file and then use this file as an image sprite. This saves you on loading speed for your pages. I use image sprites all the time so that I get the font that I want. It takes a bit more time, but works fine and your page layout and font display will then work.

Hope this helps.

That's a very bad idea in terms of SEO though. I suggest making images or graphics only for logos and other stuff that doesn't need to contain text for search engines.

You can instead use google fonts. Check fonts.google.com, download and install the fonts you want to use and simply use them within EasyWeb. There's still the issue though, that the text looks bolder in a browser than it does in EasyWeb. Why, I don't know.

Like the pumpkin man said, this is not the solution. And clearly, this is a problem that is beginning to irk a lot of people.

I, too, use Verdana. But my Verdana regular looks a lot thicker with a much more intense color tone when I publish it on Safari than it does at first in EasyWeb. In fact, my Verdana resembles Verdana bold rather than Verdana regular.
