Made With EasyWeb icon

How many people are actually tagging their website with the "Made With EasyWeb" png?

I don't mind acknowledgments, and I'm happy to advertise for the good folks at Rage, but I'm not crazy about the logo design. Especially the b...w. This was brought up earlier here:

viewtopic.php?f=5...t=655...p=3399...hilit=icon#p3399

Thoughts?

I don't think anybody expects you to use this in your designs. The information is contained in the HTML document head anyway.

It specifies the application name, version and the build date.

<meta name="generator" content="EasyWeb V10.0.1)" />
<meta name="buildDate" content="Friday, August 16, 2020" />

As you can see, I'm using a much more advanced version than the rest of you and am working well into the future!

A) What makes you so special? (besides the obvious, that you're a web-designing genius!!)

B) I think you missed my point. It's not like your avg user is going to peek into the code and go, "ahhh, they made this with easy web". I was specifically speaking from a design perspective, wanting to give credit where credit is due, but wishing the logo... was a little more exciting. In b...w it looks like a paintbrush drawing a line. Huh? (just my opinion ;))

I learn by making the mistakes that nobody has thought of yet!

If you want to give credit, use a text link to the EasyWeb page on the Rage Website when it appears.

This is definitely an interesting topic for us at RAGE.

As much as we would like every single user to love the watermark and use it on their website to show the world how their site was made, it's a bit unrealistic to create something that everyone is going to love. We wanted something very very simple that would just appear in a normal and subtle way on a site. As a team, we all liked what the graphic designers came up with. But this does not mean every single user is going to like it, and we know that. There is just not much we can do about that.

So to those who do like it and want to keep it on their sites, thank you and enjoy. To those who do not like it and wish to remove it, no hard feelings :)

Yeah, no disrespect intended to the designers. Some probably do love it!

What about offering a couple other options? Maybe in the future?

My first test site made with EasyWeb has two credits...

http://roddymckay.com/EasyWeb/index.html

I find constant movement on a web page - like auto sliders, flashing emoticons etc - irritating and distracting and I don't tend to stay long or return to these sites. On the other hand, objects that gracefully float in and out add a touch of class and provide a degree of sophisticated amusement and entertainment!

If we can have a grey or light grey version of the logo, it would be even better.
User: Roddy 12 years ago
Let's all make our own version - as long as the use of Photoshop is banned!

You could just do this by lowering the graphic's opacity value.

What are we supposed to use? An Etch A Sketch?

Imagination, skill and cunning.

Buying products from Adobe (and Microsoft) is like encouraging piracy and profiteering!

We actually do have several variations of the watermark. If you are interested in getting a copy of them, just send us an email through our support system and we will send over a zip file containing all the watermarks.

I'm going to send an email, but why not just offer some more options in EW?
