More Customisation Options for Contact Form Widget

User: Guest 12 years ago
I would like to see more customisation options available for the contact form widget.

1. The ability to add further options if needed

2. The ability to have the text either above or by the side

3. The ability to change the text size and colour

4. The ability to have both a submit and reset button

5. The ability to change the size of the whole contact form

Just like to second this. While I appreciate it is a 'contact' form, fine for registering Name, email, phone and submit. I really need a form that will allow drop down lists, being able to specify which fields are 'required' and to have more fields that can be freely customised so as to meet my current/future needs.

I seem to be spending a lot of time with EW learning all the things I didn't want to have to learn. Third party forms, slideshows, blogs etc. I can't help feeling that either I have a more positive attitude to learning/playing with code than I used to or it isn't as hard as I thought it might be having given it a go. Either way, if EW is a replacement for iWeb, surely the target market is people like me who want drop down navigation (tick), slideshows (still no joy), Simple custom forms (still no joy), roll over images (haven't discovered this yet) and integrated SEO (tick). I never want to see or use code... ever, isn't that why its called Easy Web!

Sorry for the rant. I have spent three days playing with EW and just got to the 'Contact us' page to end up using Jotform (again) and HTML snippets instead of having the lovely integrated, easy to customise user experience I was hoping for...

Yes, I know what you mean, however, I have not tried the html snippet yet and was just looking around at Easy Web to see what I could achieve just by using the app itself. I learnt a lot of coding when I was using iWeb because there were no drop down menus and a lot of things like tables, I used to hand code straight into an html snippet.

We shall see, but apart from the forms issue and I have now found the metrics inspector, I am liking what I see.

Off to try and create drop down menus now!!

You can adjust this by opening the font panel and color chooser from the toolbar.

See the Fill options under Inspector->Shape Options. You can set Normal, Mouse down and mouse over transitions.

This is what we are striving for but adding these features takes a lot of time. It would be great to have these included but we are limited by the amount of time/resources we have.

We have a pretty good way to create add-ons which we will do to include some of these features. Others need to be built in and we are working towards that. The version of EasyWeb you are using is certainly not the last, it is just the beginning.
