Some assets suddenly not working...

So, I had a little time to work on my wife's website (singkehlchen.de). I discovered, that - though her picture is used on the website and showing in the assets list, I can't drag her picture to a page anymore, nor does quick view work nor can I delete it (not that I want to). Same goes for the flyer that I actually wanted to drag to a page. I sure can add those assets again, but then I still can't delete the other ones. They worked last time I opened the site. All other assets are working too. It's not a naming issue, the jpg is simply called laura.jpg. Her picture shows up on all pages in EasyWeb and also when published. Any ideas? ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: Vocal Affairs // Singkehlchen |

Update: After adding the two pictures (laura.jpg and laura@2x.jpg) to the assets again, deleting them and restarting EasyWeb, the two original pictures that wouldn't work with quicklook and dragging anymore, disappeared too. And so did the jpgs on the actual page <shrugs> Still, the flyer.png is still there, but I can't delete it. And adding the flyer.png again creates a copy with the name flyer1.png. That didn't happen to the two laura.jpg files though, the appeared with the same name in the assets list. ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: Vocal Affairs // Singkehlchen |

Another interesting fact: the header logo suddenly changed it's appearance. It kinda distorts single elements. The heck, so I deleted the header image, dragged it again into the assets list. So far so good. The image is 980 x 160 pixels. When I drag it from the assets list to the page, it suddenly says 980 x 159. If I deselect it and select it again, it suddenly says 978 x 159 pixel in the inspector. What the....?

And one more: as already described in [url=http://ragesw.net/easyweb-beta/viewtopic.php?f=4...t=851:27zkdsn7]this thread[/url:27zkdsn7], EasyWeb seems indeed to have changed my heading image (png) so it looks kinda ... blurry. See for yourself: This it how it looks on the published page that I haven't touched for weeks: And this is what EasyWeb does to the png. I use beta19 of course: I don't even need my glasses to tell that the one I published weeks ago with and older beta looks much sharper than what EasyWeb produces now. What the hell happened to EasyWeb? And since when does EasyWeb not show the assets I drag on a page in their original size anymore? ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: Vocal Affairs // Singkehlchen |

Beta 20 will let you delete these assets. Please send me an image that is giving you these issues so I can test it here. The image may be blurry because it is not the original size. Select the image and go to Shape Options->Fill and press the Set to Original Size button. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

There is no "Set to original size" button ;) just a "Original Size" one. No idea if clicking on that does anything, so I chose Original Size from the drop down list. That solved the blur issue. Thanks! Still wondering why assets that I haven't changed or deleted suddenly can't be dragged on a page nor be deleted <shrugs> ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: Vocal Affairs // Singkehlchen |

Quote: There is no "Set to original size" button just a "Original Size" one. That's what you should be pressing. Quote: Still wondering why assets that I haven't changed or deleted suddenly can't be dragged on a page nor be deleted <shrugs> It's because of an internal change in beta 19. It is fixed for beta 20. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
