One of the really bad things about iWeb was that it encouraged users to add download time sucking images all over the place and gave them no easy alternative. One thing that most people like to make a little different is the page header. Since this is usually applied to each page of the site its not a brilliant idea to create it from an image (or images). That was why I was enthusiastic about the header widget discussed in this topic... http://ragesw.net/easyweb-beta/viewtopic.php?f=4...t=76 The advantages of creating objects that appear on every page of the site such as the header, navigation etc, using pure CSS rather than images, are many and obvious. I'm sure that even relative beginners would be able to understand the functions in a widget like this with a little instruction... ![]() When it comes time to create responsive deigns for mobile devices, header images are not the easiest to control as they get smaller for narrower browser widths. Its a lot easier to get them to look right and be readable if they are text and the size and position can be controlled using media queries. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Eventually we will create Template pages that let users design a header and footer once and include them on every page. I think this was a big missing feature from iWeb.
