Quote: 4) Q: Will I be able to create a mobile version of my website in EasyWeb? A: Yes. EasyWeb comes with a built-in feature that allows you to forward mobile users to the mobile version of your site. I just saw this post on Facebook. What is the built-in feature - I don't see anything obvious yet. Is it coming or is it something that I just don't see...? ------------------------------- Yelena MacBook Pro OS X 10.10.3 IMac 21" OS X 10.10.3 |

In anticipation of the new Beta I did a small mobile site for iPhone using EasyWeb. It's just a few pages and illustrates some of the features that can be used such as a mobile style drop down menu, finger swipe slider, smooth scroll to the top, movie, audio player, contact form, email and phone button and some code for getting rid of the browser address bar and forwarding smart phone users to the mobile site. The site URL is... http://roddymckay.com/EasyWeb/mobile/index.html To illustrate the forwarding action, enter this URL on your iPhone... http://roddymckay.com/EasyWeb/index.html ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! That is simply brilliant Roddy, I did notice when you for the first time only click on Gallery ... I think media they weren't too snappy but subsequent times they were perfect. I wish this forum could be viewed on an iPhone better, may be Rage could do a Tapatalk version. What do you think? I like see new posts when I'm out ... about ... it's really difficult on an iPhone. |

The gallery was thrown together kind of quick and I didn't optimize the images for iPhone - not yet! The idea of it was to show how you can use a responsive slider in different web page widths without having to adjust anything apart from the Snippet you paste it into. I used this technique in iWeb but nobody seemed to get the concept. I suppose people are frightened of these kind of things because they think they are difficult. Once you set up the slider it will adjust itself. I discovered this by accident because I always try to make features responsive because of the work I do with mobile sites - and by being lazy! You can do the same thing with responsive movies and images of course. I don't have an iPhone. I don't use a phone much and hardly anybody tries to phone me because they know I won't answer unless given advance notice by email! I use the simulator to test sites. I use an iPad Mini and the forum is OK on that. It is responsive but only down to about 700px. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
