Hi All, Can someone tell me what the webpage description field in easyweb is about? Is it just for my own info or should it be used for searchable words to make your site more detectable? Thanks, John |

It's a (short) description of your webpage that will show up in the search engine results.

The text you enter into this field appears in the Google entry after the title.

Thanks. Can I ask, if I upload an article for example and the provider provides key works / tags. What do I do with these? I know it's to make my site more discoverable but don't actually know where these words should go. If that makes sense? thanks, John |

Hi John, You're probably thinking of the meta keywords which we will probably add but these won't really help with your website being found in search engines anymore. Search engines are much more complex these days. For now you can enter this code into the Head section under Page Options in the Inspector; <meta name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword phrase 3"> ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Many thanks. Paul, re your suggestion below: <meta name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword phrase 3"> My site is a diet/nutrition site, so can you show me an example using the following words. Low Carb, Atkins, Exercise, Truth, Insulin, Blood Sugar for example? Not sure how many keywords I can have and what a Keyword phrase is? If you could show me an example that would help. Also do I have to put the keywords on every page or just the home screen? Thanks, John |

You really are wasting your time putting keywords into the keywords tag. Put them, in order of importance, in your h1, h2, h3, h4 headings and in the text of your site, image captions, media file descriptions and so on... Create interesting and relevant text that describes your business and/or service and it will do a lot more good than any of all that SEO mumbo jumbo. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
