Selecting two or more objects and then Arrange/Align Objects/Center moves them left.

Hi Roddy, It aligns the objects centered from the left most objects LEFT coordinate and the right most objects RIGHT coordinate (LEFT + OBJECT WIDTH). ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Here's two objects aligned individually to be centered. Note there position relation to the text... Command click to select both and then select Arrange/Align Objects/Center... ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Can you send that with the Show Layout option enabled so I can see the size of the navbar?

If the Arrange menu can only center align one object at a time then the drop down menu should have "Align Object" rather than " Align Objects".

The arrange menu aligns all selected objects. I have been trying to reproduce your issue but I can't. Perhaps a video showing what you are doing would help...

The image I posted above shows what happens. Just select two or more objects and try to align them center. I don't have time to do a video just now but will later if you still can't reproduce the problem. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy, The thing is when I do it it works properly so there must be something different that you are doing to get this issue. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hi Roddy, If you try the exact same thing in iWeb, using shapes in the same position, do you not get the same result as the video you posted? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Yes, but I never have to use it. iWeb gives me a center align guide to do this sort of thing. Just because it never worked in iWeb doesn't mean to say that it shouldn't work properly in EasyWeb! I thought you guys were way better than the Apple guys? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy, It's not about being better than the Apple guys we just want to provide consistent behaviour :) About the center alignment guides I've add them to our to do list. I don't think we'll get them in there for the first release, but because we want as much behaviour as users expect from iWeb, we'll get them in shortly. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

The center align guide was one of the things I used all the time in iWeb when arranging the objects on a page. Maybe others don't use it much or have the guides set to align the object edges. Regarding the Align thing, perhaps it would then be better to change the text in the drop down menu to "Align Object" rather than "Align Objects". That lets you off the hook! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
