Viewing Adding drop a shadow text

Adding drop a shadow text

User: Guest 11 years ago
Adding a drop shadow to text doesn't appear to show on publish (when a shadow was added to text in iWeb it would convert the text to an image on publish which was nice for secondary navigation like "special offers")

We want to avoid converting the text to images.

What browser are you trying this in? It works OK for me.

Safari 6.0.2

What are users to do for font customization? Is EasyWeb going to be limited to "WebSafe" fonts or are you going to bring in the ability for something like Google Fonts?

Right now EasyWeb will use the font the user selected but also provide a fallback websafe font (if the original font is not websafe).

We will most likely provide the option to either convert the non-websafe font to an image or upload the font to the user's server or check to see if Google provides the font and use Google fonts.

I wonder how much you need to "baby" users with things like non web safe fonts?

Assuming that most people have the sense not to mix font types in any html doc, it would be a question of adding something like this to the head code...
