Moving an EasyWeb website to a flash drive ???????

User: dan y 10 years ago
I think it was discussed here in the past but I can't find any reference to the subject.

I've made up the basics of a website for my wife that I would now like to move to her computer as she will be taking over the updates. I was thinking that it would be great if I could put it on a flash drive and run it from the drive on either her computer or mine. So,,,, Is there a way to update a website on different computers by putting it on a flash drive and just popping it in whichever computer is more convenient? That way the website can be updated by either my wife or I on our own computer and since it's run from a flash drive we're both working on the same stuff.

Thanks for any help.

Go to where the easy web projects are stored on your computer
Right click/copy to desktop
Zip it/put on flash drive
.....insert to other computer and do the exact opposite now.

Unzip to desktop
Go to where the easy web projects are stored on your computer
Add it to the list
Open easy web.

.....also,you could change the path where projects are stored to reflect the flash drive.

OK, I found the project file. I swear I looked in the 'Application Support' and it wasn't there before. Now it is, (HA)

Now that I've found it I made an alias and put it on my desktop. Now, when I save, the alias will reflect the project file. All I did was put the file on a flash drive (didn't zip as it's more steps), pop it into the wife's computer and click on the file. Easyweb opens with the file I selected. Works good enough.

But,,,,,,, That second option,,,,, changing the path to reflect the zip drive. I like that better but can't find how to change the path.

Any help appreciated.

That would require some digging on my part. Let me look and get back to you.

This isn't possible. The way you are doing it now is currently the only way to do it. Just double click the file to open it in EasyWeb.
