Align items in breakpoints other than Wide Desktop?

How do I … Align items in breakpoints other than Wide Desktop?

Start a new project and add a new Centre Aligned page, remove the Everweb logo and set the Header & Footer height to 0. For simplicity, leave content width and height at 1,000.

Add a basic shape to the Wide Desktop, select the shape and use the arrange menu to place it Left, Centre or Right - it aligns correctly the Left, Centre or Right of the Wide Desktop workspace.

Now switch to the Mobile view and add a basic shape. Left align works but Centre or Right align moves it to the Centre or Right of the WD view, not the Mobile view. The same with any item in the Desktop or Tablet view - Centre or Right Align moves it to the Centre or Right of the WD view.

Top, Middle or Bottom alignment is no better:

In any breakpoint view, Arrange > Align Items > Top - sets the top of an object to the top of the work space (0)

Arrange > Align Items > Middle - sets the middle (height) of an object to the middle of the page (500)

Arrange > Align Items > Bottom - should set the bottom of the object to the bottom of the page (1,000) but it doesn’t - it sets the object anywhere but at the bottom of the page.
The height from the bottom of the page appears to be dependent on the object’s height - eg. a thin horizontal line (eg. 10 px high) gets placed very near the bottom of the page, but a taller object gets placed much higher up the page. Indeed, if I place a 400 px high shape anywhere on the page, Arrange > Align Items > Bottom - moves the item up to the top of the page!

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the information! In order to investigate this issue, I would like to ask you for your EverWeb Project file.

Open EverWeb's Projects Window, click the arrows next to your project and choose "Send Project File to Support"

After the project file is uploaded, EverWeb will give you a link. **Please send that link back to me.**

If your project is over 2GB in size or if you have an older version of EverWeb, you won't be able to send it that way. To send it to me in that case, follow this link and follow the steps outlined on the page:
https://www.ragesw.com/ewprojectupload/

Please don't remove the project file from the folder with project files.

I will update you as soon as I find the solution!

You can recreate the problem by following the very simple steps outlined above.

However, for the sake of completeness, I've just uploaded a very simple project file comprising one 100px square. The Reference № is included in the open Support Ticket.
