Hi, You need to publish to a folder and then you can use any FTP client to publish to a third party hosting service. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

If you don't have an EasyWeb account you can't select a local folder in the Site Publishing Page. When you are ready to publish, click the Publish button or use File/Publish Entire Site... You will get a popup like this... Click the "Publish to Folder" button, browse to the folder you want to publish to and select it. Once you have published the site, open the folder and double click the index.html file to launch it in the browser. If all is well, upload with your favorite FTP app. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! On that note, do you have to copy and overwrite all of the files every time you make a change? I think I just tried overwriting the index.html file, when I'd made no apparent changes elsewhere (only a little bit of text), and it didn't work. Are you referring to overwriting the files in the local folder or on the server?

I'm referring to overwriting the files using Cyberduck for a third party server.

I use Yummy FTP and haven't looked at the Duck for years. Doesn't it have file sync?

I don't know. Seems like it's overwriting everything. Whatever it's doing, everything works. Just probably a little redundant. I've stayed with the duck over the years because I like the icon. How can you not like that rubber duck? ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |

I have used Yummy for a long time because it has a lot more and advanced features over Cyberduck. Even Yummy Lite which only costs $1.99 from the App Store is better as you can see both the local and remote files in one window. With Yummy you can sync files so that only the latest ones are uploaded. Apps like Rage's WebCrusher will optimize your files and upload just the changed ones. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! If you are logged into an EasyWeb account you can publish your site changes. If you aren't, it won't publish your site changes but will publish all files. So even if your FTP software has a sync feature it wouldn't work because the file modified dates will be newer on your newly exported site vs your FTP server.

Is this the way it's always going to be?

The publishing to a folder with no account is only during beta testing. You need to purchase a license once the final version is released to publish your site to EasyWeb or to a folder.

But will the licensed version publish the changes only?

And this is a license for the EasyWeb software right? Like a purchase price.
