I'm pretty sure I've raised this before, whether on this forum or elsewhere. And my memory is someone said it was in the development pipeline. But I can't find a reference so will raise again. A feature I'm really really missing from my WordPress days before finding salvation in EverWeb is blog post tags (as well as - ideally - a tag cloud or something equivalent). I still have the WP export file from which I imported my old blog posts into my EW project. These would have the tags, and I'd like to be able to import those to the corresponding posts. What puts me in mind of this feature right now is having just posted a satire piece, which I do occasionally but not regularly. I'm sure you can picture the common enough scenario - the flurry of apologies, explanations and fence-mending after a bunch of people didn't get the writer's dry humour. It would be so helpful to be able to apply a "satire" tag. Can this be added anytime soon? And/or can anyone suggest a bespoke tagging method I could use (maybe with hashtags??) that would work with SEO etc? NB: I know there's the keywords feature in post options, which I do use. But these don't appear in the public post text. Is there maybe a way they could do so? |

Hi Lance What you can so at the moment is add keywords to each of your posts by selecting the post you want, then clicking on the settings button and choosing Post Options... here you can add a Short Summary and also Keywords. I appreciate that this may not be exactly what you are looking for, but maybe it will help get your posts crawled better! Best Simon |

Thanks Simon. That doesn't really get me any further. I referred to that feature in my last paragraph ("the keywords feature in post options"). So I know about that and am using it (as well as the short summary). But I really need something that's accessible to the reader of the post in their app or browser window. I'm sure someone said blog post tags were a development plan. Can you (or someone else) confirm that at all? |
