Does adding something at the top of a page pushes everything down the page yet?

I haven't updated in awhile and was wondering if now adding something at the top of a page pushes everything down the page. Text boxes, images, YouTube videos etc.

Right now, I have to move all items manually every change which is a real pain.

Thanks!

Hi Richard!

EverWeb still works in the same way but if you are adding an object right at the top of the page, you could use Cmd+A to select all object on the page, move them down then add the new object at the top.

There are also options available in EverWeb where you can push down the objects on the page that are below the currently selected object. In this way you can open "a gap" in the page if you need to insert an object e.g. half way down the page, without upsetting your page layout.

I think this video explains the options for you! https://youtu.be/Hteh7mzB8uM

Hi Richard,

Just to clarify a few things.

1. If you place objects in the 'header section' of your page, anything you put in there will push down all the content in the body section and the footer section.

2. If you place something in the body section though, you can actually hold down the COMMAND-SHIFT buttons on your keyboard and anything you drag will push down (or up) all the objects below it. So they follow the same drag movements. You don't need to select all in this case.

3. For responsive site, anything you add to a page will push down the objects below it.
