How do I change the order of the pictures?

User: Paul H. one year ago
Hi all,

I have a simple responsive website:
vakantiehuisje.frl
(meaning, holiday home)

For various reasons, I've chosen to use just one long list, since my audience tends to be older folks from Germany, and they are not the handiest ones if it's about IT (no offense).

I'm satisfied with the result, but I would like to change the order of the pictures. It there an easy way to do that?

Also, for some for me unknown reason, two pictures are missing. I was hoping the empty spots would be filled out with the remaining pictures, but that does not seem to happen automatically.

Cheers,

Paul Harts

Hey Paul, thank you for your post.
The easiest way to re-order images in the image gallery widget is to drag and drop them to the desired order, the missing images most likely means that they no longer exist in the source file, you could make sure of their integrity there and re-upload them, or highlight the trouble photos and delete them.

If I click on 'delete' (called verwijder in Dutch, all pictures disappear.

I tried to add a new 'responsive Image Gallery' and that failed.

( The reason why I have chosen not to use a menu and 'dump' 'everything' in a long list, is that generally, people don't click on the menu if they are quickly searching for a villa for a family weekend and Germans (no offense) are even less willing to do so. They just start scrolling. So I would like to keep it in one long list with just a huge amount of pictures )

Also, I've tried simply overwriting the empty spots by dumping a different photo on the empty spot. That did not help. New photos are being added at the end of the list.

Hoi Paul

When using an image gallery type of widget, you will have the images in a list. To reorder the images, simply click and hold on the image you want to move in the list and drag it up or down and drop it in its new location. Hope that helps a little with your issue!

Groetjes!

Simon
