Windows and Mac integration

transfer project files across platforms

It’s fantastic to be able to develop websites on any platform however I struggle to transfer from one to another. The project files typically become corrupted when importing and opening for the first time.

To have this feature would be amazing!

Also on windows often when trying to apply an image background to a responsive row it fails to work.

Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear you are having issues on Windows.

You should be able to transfer your Mac projects to Windows without issues. What happens when you try? What do you mean the projects become corrupted?

Perhaps it appears corrupted because it is actually a directory on Windows? This article on Windows explains in more detail how to transfer your project file from Mac to Windows.

Can you explain in a bit more detail what happens when you do this?

Hey Paul thanks for responding to me. I find if the project file contains a lot of data... Blog posts etc it typically fails to open when being transferred over to Windows. However smaller projects seem unaffected and transferring over to Mac seems to work every time.

I have found that with the responsive row background it seems to be the type and size of image that effects this. When it fails the responsive row looks distorted forcing me to remove it and add a new one.

I hope this helps.

Hi Chris,

If you could send us the project file to customer support that is failing that would be very helpful.

As well, when you say fails to open, do you get an error message? What exactly happens?

Also, if you can send an image that shows the problem with responsive rows we can get that fixed ASAP as well.

Thank you!
