The ability to make a widget such as the Flexbox, Text Section or Responsive Row "sticky".

Hi Jesse,

Could you please send us an example of what you mean, and I will forward your feature request to our development department?
Did you mean the same option as Fixed on the Metrics tab?
Looking forward to your reply.

Here is an example of what I mean: https://www.apple.com/apple-tv-app/

The large heading at the top of that page is "stuck in place", and everything below it on the page scrolls over top of it, but it is always behind everything else on the page. When I use the "fixed" option in metrics, the object or text is sometimes in front of other widgets or text. Maybe I'm not using it correctly, and if so, I would appreciate some direction on how to accomplish this effect using the widgets in Everweb. I know there are widgets that Roddy (everwebwidgets.com) offers that can do this, I was just wondering if it was possible with the default widgets.

Hi Jesse,

It is possible to create something like that with the default widget. After adding the object, make sure to check Fixed Position, under Inspector > Metrics.

If you need more personalized assistance, please make sure to open a support ticket.

A common mistake made by jargon users is the misuse of names such as head, header and heading. Another is referring to a fixed item as being "sticky". Fixed position items are not a good idea for a page that will be viewed on the small screen of a mobile phone.

Here's demo page showing what CSS3 position sticky really is and some ideas on how to use it.
