Using Square

User: Susan S. one year ago
I have had a lot of questions this past week. I'm sorry to use up so much time.

My son-in-law wants to sell t-shirts for his business on his website, which is made with Everweb.

They use Square at their place of business and would like to continue with that. No idea why but the son-in-law HATES Paypal.

Has anyone hooked up Square with Everweb? I reached out on Facebook to Square and asked if Square was easy to use on a website like Paypal is - just a simple link.

This is what he said to me, and I'm out of my league:

"There's a way to use API to program Square processing onto your site which does take a few more steps than the way you have it now."

I don't know why he said "more steps than how we have it now" because the son-in-law doesn't have anything now (nor did the Square guy ask for the URL). They want to add t-shirts. Currently, t-shirts are not on the website, nor do they sell anything directly off the site like this.

So is there anyone with Square or API experience that can give me a clue as to how difficult this may be?

Thank you,

Susan

Hi Susan,

You can create your buy button by generating a small piece of HTML code that you can embed on your website, blog or landing page using EverWeb HTML Snippet Widget.

Hope this helps!

Check out the Square website and sign up to create an account.
I'm not sure why anybody would want to change from PayPal? Perhaps the pricing is better?
