Can't control fonts etc. in Responsive navigation widget?

User: Ben L. one year ago
I'm trying to rebuild an old site into a 'responsive' site. I'm starting with the old site in the EverWeb app, but building NEW responsive pages. That way I can flip back to the older site pages to pull graphics and text and simply copy it into the NEW responsive pages. I will delete the older pages as the new ones are finished.

Having trouble with controlling the fonts in the navigation bar widget. I can change the actual font & colour, but I have no control over the various mouse-over colours & underlining. Looking at what might be an older tutorial it says to go to Hyperlink formatting ... but the Hyperlink formatting is greyed out. No control. And nowhere in the Widget Navigation Bar Inspector does it allow control over the font colour/underlining/mouse-over etc.

So where do I go now to control these elements?

All ears, Ben

I've looked at a number of EverWeb Tutorials ... including the 'help' pop-up box. Which all indicate that I should be able to control the font colours, mouse-over colours, etc. using the 'Hyperlink'. My 'Hyperlink' is greyed out, dead. Even when I go in and change the 'Default Colours' nothing changes. So there is something glitching somewhere....

Hi Ben,

To set the exact color and behavior, you need to highlight a certain text/object/shape and go to the Hyperlinks tab to set all these then.

I've got the same problem as Ben. I set up navigation widget on master page. I want Visited text to be same color as Not Visited text. But in Preview the Visited text shows up as bright yellow, not the green I want. Also, in Safari the navigation bar text is the wrong font (but font shows up OK in Chrome and Firefox). EverWeb Support says to highlight text/object/shape and go to hyperlinks tab, but I can't highlight text in the navigation bar, and clicking in the bar and then going to hyperlinks doesn't give any editable options. Maybe the issue is with Preview, and it will be OK when live?

I solved my color problem by taking the navigation widget out of master page, putting it in another page, fixing the settings, then copying that widget into the other pages. I solved my font problem by shifting from an unusual font to a standard font, which Safari recognizes.

I'm having the exact sane issue, but this fix does not work for me. I did the following:

1. Copied the existing menu into a brand new blank page. Link colors can not be selected or edited. Can not edit any of the elements.
2. Generated a brand new menu from the Navigation Menu widget. Link colors can not be selected or edited. Can not edit any of the elements.

Tried your method with no success. Have been able to edit the previous menus with my other sites with no problem. Unsure of the issue here.
