Everweb is asking me to "sign in" in order to publish site

User: Edina K. 2 years ago
Hello! I made some changes to my site and when I wanted to publish it, I got a message "please sign in to your account to publish your website." I am signed into my Everweb account on the web, but I don't see any button or command on the top of the toolbar of the Everweb software, that I could use to "sign in." Can someone explain what's going on?

Thank you. I followed the instructions and saw that I was actually already signed in. Underneath, it said "Accounts - EverWeb Standalone (with a long number which I think is the license number) and then "Next due date: expired." I was under the impression that the support plan expired but the software did not. I just downloaded the latest version.

HI Edina,

The license never expires but the update plan does. So you will have to login to your account and find the Downloads section and Support->Downloads and then find the version that works with your update and support plan.

It should be version 2.7.1

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Thank you. I downloaded version 2.7.1 and whenever I launch it, I get a "crash reporter" dialog saying "This application has encountered an error in its programming. Please submit a report." But even when I fill in all the fields of the crash reporter, and I press submit, the entire computer freezes and I have to do a restart. It doesn't work.

Hi Edina,

That version is almost 4 years old and I see you are using the latest version of macOS. Is this correct? EverWeb 2.7.1 was not made for the latest version of macOS since it was released so long ago, well before your version of macOS was released.

To ensure compatibility, I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of EverWeb or if you have an older version of Mac OS, you should be able to use it on there.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
