Website being published in wrong spot

User: Kristin V. 2 years ago
I have two websites/projects with EverWeb. They are for two separate businesses, one photography and one my music studio.

I have been making changes to my photography website. When I publish the changes, it says it was successful. However, when I look on the server (personal) end of things, it's been published in a subfolder of my music studio website. The FTP, directory, and path all seem to be in correct order. How do I remedy this situation?

Hi Kristin,

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

I see you are publishing through FTP to a third party host.

It is most likely that you're directory path is not set properly.

It is impossible to say for sure without knowing the URL of your website and seeing your publishing settings, but I can say with a lot of certainty that your publishing settings are entered incorrectly for this to be happening.

Please confirm the root directory path with your web hosting company and then go to File->Edit Publishing Settings and enter it there.

If you have something entered in the sub directory field then you probably have to remove that.

But again, without seeing your publishing settings it is hard to say for sure. I recommend opening a private support ticket so we can see your publishing settings if the above does not work for you.
