Dark Mode, transparent images with rounded corners, responsive images

Another situation where images with rounded corners are mishandled: macOS Dark Mode. I round corners on important images, these images have a transparent background. Place that image in a responsive image gallery and page background None. In light mode the images is fine, but in dark mode the rounded areas are white and not the dark mode color. How can I get around this? Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve, It sounds like you are rounding the images in an image editor. Are you exporting the images as transparent PNGs so they retain their transparency? It looks like you are exporting the image without a transparent background. So in light mode you can't see the white background, but in the darkmode, you can see it. EverWeb doesn't change the actual image when it is added to a responsive image gallery. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Yikes! Yes, it's an Affinity document, with transparency. But .... I exported as a JPEG to compress it, not realizing transparency is not supported with that file type. Just used my many-years-standard PNG and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the quick response, you are my hero. I'll have to reduce the image dimensions a lot to keep the file size reasonable. | |
