Viewing Create an unadorned image gallery

Create an unadorned image gallery

User: Steve L. 2 years ago
This is a duplicate question, please see my answer here: https://billing.ragesw.com/forum.php?act=thread&tid=6855

================================================================================

I have images, carefully prepared, and with rounded corners. If I use a responsive image gallery in a responsive row in a responsive document I see several issues:

1) number of columns appears to be fixed at 2, no matter what value I choose in the inspector
2) every other image has square corners rather than rounded
3) the slideshow has translucent headers and footers which overlay portions of all the images, which I do not want to see

I'd just want a simple, full screen presentation

If I instead use a non responsive image gallery:

1) I *can* chose the number of image columns to display
2) all images appear with rounded corners
3) I still *cannot* get rid of the top and bottom black

What am I missing? Thanks...

Hi Steve,

1. The number of columns you specify is the maximum column number. The way responsive websites work is they adjust to the screen size so that the websites look nice in all devices. So when the screen is small, the number of columns will be reduced to show the photos nicely formatted for the screen at an appropriate size

Your other issues we would need the project file to take a closer look as Alex pointed out.

Also you do not need to put responsive widgets inside responsive rows. Responsive rows are for non-responsive widgets OR when you want to align a number of widgets horizontally that will auto adjust vertically to the screen of the device they are viewed on.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the use of maximum column number, it was just not possible to set its value in Everweb. As I noted by deleting the site and starting over I "fixed it"!

I also did away with all the nested responsive items and simply used a responsive image gallery. Setting Style:Contain took care of the truncated rounded image corners, although since the gallery background is fixed at black I had to redo all the images with a black background, else it looked, er, funky :)

Thanks, Steve ...
