How do I change page type to php

User: Douglas S. 3 years ago
Hi, I have searched and searched for the ability to change a couple of my pages to .php instead of html, but for whatever reason I just can't seem to be able to find it. I use a security program for user access that requires me to use .php on the pages that are password protected. My question is how do I change my page or pages to .php I certainly hope that this is possible because without the ability to change page type I am stopped cold on my development. I love the program, very similar to what I have been using for years in Windows but now that I am using MacOs I need this ability or I will be forced to return to Windows and finish my development or search for another program that I can use.
thanks

Hi Doug,

Unfortunately, there is no such option in EverWeb. However, you could integrate php pages to your EverWeb-created website.
You might want to contact our support team with the specific description of your issue, so we could try finding an alternative.

I moved my hosting to everweb to allow me to use their own password folder protection. which works well for me I can give each user a password but it’s all very basic. I’m sure I read they were in the process of updating the feature at some point

Hi, thanks for the rapid reply, sorry to hear that your program is not able to change pages to .php, I have been using Sitelok for years to protect my pages in my web pages that I develop and have hundreds of users that are registered in my database. Not being able to keep integrating this software into my projects would be devastating to me and really not an option at this time. I will contact support.
thanks,
DS

Hi Douglas,

This feature is planned for version 3.6. However, the solution in the meantime is to ask your web hosting provider to process PHP code within .html pages.
